The Brownville Concert Series will present Lance Lipinsky & The Lovers in “Shake Baby Shake.” The show is an explosive retrospective show of the golden age of Rock and Roll, starring Lance Lipinsky and his authentic showband The Lovers. The show will be in cabaret on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 5, at 2:00 p.m. Sponsors are Jan Chism Wright (in memory of Dr. David A. Wright), Dick and Jennifer James, Hemmingsen Funeral Home, and John and Mary Lauber.
Influenced by the birth of the Rock & Roll era of the 1950s and 1960s, Lipinsky preserves the timeless tradition of the Rockabilly subculture as a songwriter and as an entertainer with classic show stopping boogie woogie piano antics.
Accompanied by his Chicago-based group, The Lovers, Lipinsky has appeared on both the David Letterman Show and at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Lance was recently featured in the HBO series “Vinyl,” directed by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese, and was the recipient of the 2017 Ameripolitan Award in the “Male Rockabilly” category.
After headlining over 2,500 action packed shows for five years at the Apollo Theatre in the Tony Award winning Broadway musical “Million Dollar Quartet,” Lipinsky’s debut album “Roll” was recorded in Memphis’ historic Sun Studios using all original, vintage analog equipment.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $16 for students and can be purchased online at www.brownvilleconcertseries.com, on Facebook or call 402-825-3331.
