As of July 1, 2023, C.A.R.E. of Atchison County has the capability to issue tax credits of 70% to an individual, LLC, or corporation for any amount over $100.00. This is a credit that is processed by the State of Missouri upon request, after filling out a form giving the information required. Once the state has approved the submission, you are then issued a direct credit to be used on your tax return. For example, with a donation of $100.00, you are requesting a $70.00 credit. Once approved, your donation essentially costs you $30.00.

As the end of year and the season of giving approach, keep this information in mind when making out your donation entity list.

C.A.R.E. of Atchison County continues the mission to aid survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Their assistance is given confidentially without the general public knowing who is receiving help. The numbers would surprise you and the reasons would astound you. These events may be in your own neighborhood and no one may have a clue, but that victim may reach out and need C.A.R.E.’s help and they will always do their best.
