As the end of the year is getting closer, C.A.R.E. of Atchison County is beginning to see a reduction in inventory in supplies they provide to clients who seek their services. Many clients have removed themselves from abusive situations with only the clothes on their backs and a handful, if any, supplies they may need.

C.A.R.E. tries to provide resources to them in the way of possible emergency shelter if needed, counseling options, housing availability in the area, and food assistance programs. The C.A.R.E. door is always open and they are available 24/7 by phone, 365 days a year. At the time a call or visit takes place, C.A.R.E. advocates try to help that individual back to a time of normalcy or to sort out what could make it as normal as possible.

Many times, this finds the client at a loss for personal items or in need of bare essentials to ready themselves for the challenge of getting their life back on track. The following is a list of items that remains low on their inventory: laundry supplies (laundry soap, fabric softener, dryer sheets), dish soap, paper towels, floor cleaning supplies, wet/dry Swiffer mops/refills, and socks (women’s and children’s, all sizes). All items may be dropped off at C.A.R.E., 302 S. Water Street, Rock Port, Missouri.
