The East Atchison and Rock Port cross country teams traveled to Columbia, Missouri, to compete in the Class 1 Missouri State High School Activities Association Cross Country Championships at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course Friday, November 3, 2023. The Lady Wolves finished 10th out of 13 teams and the Wolves finished 12th out of 15 teams. There were 143 girls and 170 boys competing in the meet.
The top 30 individual runners medaled and the top 10 earned All-State honors. Rock Port’s Norah Watkins medaled with a 4th place time of 20:27.1 and received All-State recognition. She also set a new school record. East Atchison’s Jayla Irvine medaled with a 24th place time of 21:35.6.
