Sharon Fae Hargis was born on January 6, 1942, in Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Virginia (Snow) Hargis. Sharon entered into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving and supportive family.

Sharon graduated from Shenandoah High School in Shenandoah, Iowa, with the Class of 1959. Following high school she was united in marriage to David Hogue. This marriage was blessed with the birth of four boys: Derek, Mark, Chris, and Tim. She later went on to attend Tarkio College in Tarkio, Missouri, and Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, Missouri, where she received her degree in Psychology. She was employed by Tarkio Academy for many years.

Following the death of her beloved David in 1993, Sharon later found happiness with Gary Glines. The couple was united in marriage on March 5, 2005, at the First Christian Church in Tarkio. Sharon was a loving and devoted wife, mother, granny, and great-granny. She was an amazing cook! She loved making pies, cakes, cookies, and her homemade spaghetti sauce was always a big hit. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, with 80s hair bands being some of her favorites. She loved attending rock concerts and being a little older, she would often get to go backstage and meet the bands and get autographs and pictures. Many of the band members would refer to her as “mom.” When Sharon married Gary, they enjoyed many trips throughout the United States. They also spent many winters enjoying Apache Junction in Arizona. Sharon enjoyed shopping, especially going through each and every aisle to see what was new. Cheering for the Denver Broncos during the football season was also a highlight. She was a devoted church member and had most recently been attending St. John’s Lutheran Church. Her faith helped her through many trying times in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, David and Gary; and grandson, Levi Racine. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Derek Hogue and wife Julie, Mark Hogue and wife Becky, Christopher Hogue and wife Leslie, and Timothy Hogue and wife Jeana; stepdaughters, Kelli Gould, Kandi Racine and Kathi Chandler; grandchildren, Luke Cox, Heather Hogue, Brittany Hogue, Devin Hogue, Shane Hogue, Kaci Fuller, Danny Hogue, David Hogue, JaCee Hogue, Jordyn Bates, Dalton Hogue, Tory Hogue, Jonah Chandler, Connel Racine, Tyler Roberts, and Travis Roberts; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Pam Oldham and Michelle Peeler and husband Bill; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and many friends.
