Candidate filing for the April 2, 2024, Municipal Election will close on December 26, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. There are a number of positions on the ballot. The complete listing was in the November 30 issue of the Atchison County Mail.

Winter break begins this week for Atchison County students. School will resume January 3 for Rock Port students and January 4 for Fairfax and Tarkio students.
