The Avalanche Screen Printing and Signs will close after 14 years of ownership under W.C. and Shauna Farmer and Mike and Lisa Farmer. We would like to thank all our customers over the years. As one door closes another will open. We hope to have an announcement in the near future for our customers and future customers.

The Tarkio Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting scheduled for Monday, January 8, at The Roost Eatery was postponed due to the weather. The ceremony will take place Monday, January 15, at 4:30 p.m. at 401 Main Street. There is also a ribbon cutting at Nautihairs, 119 Main Street, at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11. Everyone is invited to attend.

Rock Port raised $9,199.57 for the Salvation Army this past holiday season, bringing the total raised in Atchison County to approximately $21,000. Thanks to all who gave.

Old Man Winter paid a visit and overstayed his welcome at the beginning of this week, causing many postponements, cancellations, and closings. Of course, the kids and teachers were happy to have the snow days.
