Rock Port UMC to serve breakfast Palm Sunday
The Rock Port United Methodist Church will be serving breakfast on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
The menu will include pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and juice and milk. There will be a free-will donation to go towards the mobile Eagle Camp for the children of Atchison County.
The breakfast will be followed by the adult choir’s presentation of their Easter Cantata at the 10:45 a.m. service.
Program of Easter music
The Tarkio Presbyterian Church Choir and Bell Choir will present a program of Easter music during the worship service at 10:30 a.m. on Palm Sunday, March 24. The church is located at 700 Maple Street. Everyone is welcome to attend this special service.
Sunday evening Lenten services
Rock Port United Methodist Church, Watson United Methodist Church, First Lutheran Church, and First Christian Church are sharing Sunday evening Lent services this Eastertide.
The final service will be Sunday, March 24 at Rock Port UMC, with the message from Kelsey Chard.
The service will begin at 5:00 p.m. with refreshments and fellowship after. The community is invited to attend
Easter events at Fairfax Methodist Church
The Fairfax Methodist Church will hold a Palm Sunday service March 24.
There will also be a Maundy Thursday experience Thursday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m. It will include a supper meeting downstairs in the fellowship hall at 6:00 p.m. with Holy Communion. Please RSVP.
On Easter Sunday, March 31, the Fairfax Methodist Church will hold an Easter egg hunt at 9:30 a.m. at the church. The Easter worship service will be at 10:30 a.m.
Good Friday services
The Fairfax Community Good Friday Service will be Friday, March 29, at 12:00 noon at the First Presbyterian Church.
The Tarkio/Westboro Community Good Friday Service will be held Friday, March 29, at 12:00 noon at the Tarkio First Baptist Church. Pastor Tate Walker will be delivering the message. A sack lunch will be given to attendees following the service.
The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance will hold the Community Good Friday Service Friday, March 29, at 12:00 noon at the First Lutheran Church (801 S. Market, Rock Port). The speaker will be Pastor Bill Hargis. A sack lunch will be provided following the service.

Fairfax Community Sunrise Service
The Fairfax Community Sunrise Service will be held Easter Sunday, March 31, at 7:30 a.m. at the Fairfax City Park. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at the Christian Church.
