It was a very colorful day at the Tarkio Library on Thursday, March 21, during the Atchison County Library’s monthly toddler’s program. “Third Thursday” welcomed 21 children and their parents and caregivers to enjoy storytime and crafts.

Children’s Librarian Amanda Vette read “Clap Your Hands“ by Lorinda Bryan Cauley, which encouraged the children to jump, clap, and stomp their feet along with the animals in the book. Third Thursday events always feature an educational activity that helps toddlers with fine motor skills; this month’s activity focused on matching colors and rainbows with fruit loops and pipe cleaners. They also made a rainbow window decoration using crepe paper squares.

The next Third Thursday is April 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tarkio Library.
