The Rock Port High School Scholar Bowl team has competed in several meets, winning all of the meets they competed in.

March 5 at Nodaway-Holt

The team traveled to Graham, Missouri, March 5 and competed with Nodaway-Holt, DeKalb, and Tarkio.

Rock Port won over DeKalb 200-190. Individual results for Rock Port are: Bannack Skillen, 70 points; and Malachi Skillen, 20 points.

Rock Port won over Nodaway-Holt 360-140. Individual results for Rock Port are: Bannack Skillen, 70 points; Carter Gebhards, 30 points; and Malachi Skillen, 30 points.

Rock Port won over Tarkio 420-120. Individual results for Rock Port are: Bannack Skillen,  100 points; Carter Gebhards, 20 points; and Malachi Skillen, 20 points.

March 12 at North Nodaway

The Scholar Bowl Team competed against North Nodaway, Fairfax, and Stewartsville March 12 at North Nodaway in Graham, Missouri.

Rock Port won over North Nodaway 380-30. Individual points for Rock Port are: Bannack Skillen, 100; Malachi Skillen, 20; and Carter Gebhards, 10.

Rock Port won over Fairfax 270-30. Individual points for Rock Port are: Bannack Skillen, 100; and Carter Gebhards, 20.

Rock Port also won over Stewartsville 430-60. Rock Port scores are: Bannack Skillen, 70; Carter Gebhards, 40; and Malachi Skillen, 40.

March 14 at Jefferson

The team competed at Jefferson in Hopkins, Missouri, March 14 with Mound City, Union Star, and Jefferson.

Rock Port won over Mound City 340-210. Bannack Skillen scored 130 points.

Rock Port won over Union Star, 280-50. Scoring points for Rock Port were: Bannack Skillen, 80; Malachi Skillen, 20; and Carter Gebhards, 10.

Rock Port won over Jefferson 300-130. Bannack Skillen scored 100 points and Carter Gebhards scored 10 points.

March 19 at Craig

The Rock Port team competed against Northeast Nodaway and West Nodaway at Craig March 19.

March 23 at Ravenwood

The Scholar Bowl Team participated in an unofficial match March 23. The teams only played 10 questions per half, not MSHSAA rules, but the team did place in the top four of the 25 teams there in trivia play in the morning. Players who participated were Dereck Dush, Carter Gebhards, Logan Lomax, Bannack Skillen, Malachi Skillen, and Lily Wilroy.

March 27

275 Conference Tournament

The 275 Conference Tournament was held Wednesday, March 27, at Ravenwood.

In Round 1, Rock Port won 370-60 over DeKalb. Individual points for the Rock Port players were: Bannack Skillen, 90; Carter Gebhards, 30; and Malachi Skillen, 20.

In semi-final action, Rock Port won over Nodaway-Holt, 320-180. Individual points for the Rock Port players were: Bannack Skillen, 80; Carter Gebhards, 20; and Malachi Skillen, 30.

Rock Port won the final round over Mound City 310-190. Individual points for the Rock Port players were: Bannack Skillen, 70; and Malachi Skillen, 20.

The Rock Port Scholar Bowl team claimed the 275 Conference Championship.

The Class 1, District 8 Scholar Bowl Tournament will be Saturday, April 13, in Mound City.
