A Tarkio man was injured in a motorcycle accident in Holt County Sunday, May 5. The accident occurred on Lakeshore Drive near the city limits of Big Lake, Missouri, shortly before 6:00 p.m. Jason D. Conn, 51, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson northbound when it failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road, striking a ditch. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the vehicle was moved prior to the officer’s arrival on the scene.

Conn, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by an Atchison-Holt ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri. The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by a private vehicle. The accident was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper R. K. Mott, who was assisted by Sergeant K. F. Jeffers, Trooper V. P. Wiley, and the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District.
