The Rock Port Tourism Board met Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 5:08 pm at Rock Port City Hall. Members present were Jody VanSickle, Ashtyn Beatty, Karen Brown, Jim Clodfelter, Elizabeth Dillman, and Charlie Clodfelter (by phone at 5:08 p.m.). Chris Shimmel was present before meeting started but had to leave due to a prior appointment.

Visitors included Tami Lansdown and Amy Thomas.

The meeting called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Jody.

The agenda was approved, as well as meeting minutes and financials.

Jim called Charlie at 5:08 p.m. to inquire about him taking a role position on the tourism board. He did not, then stayed on phone for remainder of meeting.

Officers

The following officers were elected: Jody VanSickle, chairman; Karen Brown, assistant chairman; and Ashtyn Beatty, secretary.

Summer Palooza 2024

Amy presented receipts for decorations, food, and drinks for summer palooza. She asked to be reimbursed for $321.57 for purchases made from Amazon  and $603.03 for purchases at Sam’s Club. Board members unanimously approved the total of $924.60.

Band Nights 2024

Discussion was tabled for the next meeting.

The next meeting will be June 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
