We just held our first annual prayer conference. We thank everyone who helped make this a success. We are called to be the Body of Christ and this community and our churches do this graciously and our community benefits from it. This was all churches working together to serve the community and each other.

Romans 12:4-8 says, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”

We are all part of one body – the body of Christ. He is the head and we are the members. We all have different gifts, let us use them to first serve Christ, then one another and then we are better equipped to serve the community. The prayer conference was a success because of this, because we served Christ first. He gets all the glory, honor and praise.

If you didn’t get to come to the meeting be on the look out for other events held by the Ministerial Alliance. This is where we truly are doing God’s Work, serving one another as the body. We are His Body, for His Glory, and for His purpose. Won’t you join us? If you are looking for a church home any of the churches in Rock Port would welcome you and love you with the love of Christ. I feel very blessed to serve alongside the ministers in Rock Port. Their hearts for Christ and love for Jesus and His truth is a treasure. We all have a common goal: love Christ, serve Christ, love the body, serve the body, love people, serve people and lead people to Christ.

Thank you to everyone who made the conference a success, but most of all thank God for being faithful to our obedience to His leading.
