Lil Red and Charlie Smith of Fairfax, Missouri, were awarded Grand Champion Overall Percentage Heifer at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Charlie also took home 4th place overall in the Senior Showmanship contest of that show. The two were also named Champions of the Bred and Owned Show and Charlie was chosen as top showman of that show. Charlie and Lil Red also earned the title Champion FFA Percentage Red Angus Female. Oscar Palmer of Rock Port, Missouri, and his two Poland Gilts made their debut at the Missouri State Fair Swine Show Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Oscar showed Doty, a January Poland, who placed 7th in the open class and Kit, a February Poland, who placed 4th in the open class.
