Condolences to Do It Best employees on their loss of Pete the Pirate cockatiel bird, who has greeted customers for 18 of his 20 years. A new cockatiel, Joey, came to the local store from a bird rescue in Kansas City to brighten everyone’s day.

Rock Port High School Fall Homecoming is this Friday, September 20. Head down to Main Street for the parade and pep rally at 3:00 p.m. and to Blue Jay Stadium for the football game at 7:00 p.m., followed by the crowning of the homecoming king and queen.

Old Fashioned Saturday Night is this Saturday, September 21, with festivities held from 5:00 p.m. to dusk. There’s lots to see and do and food vendors will be set up to feed the masses.
