You are invited to the 15th annual Women’s Luncheon, hosted by Rock Port Baptist Church, on Sunday, October 20. The event will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the White Barn in Rock Port.
The theme of the luncheon is “She Is Strong” based on Proverbs 31:25, “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
Sheila Griffin will be the guest speaker. Sheila spent 16 years in vocational ministry to college students, starting out on the campuses of southwest Missouri and later relocating to Boulder, Colorado, where she gave direction to Human Resources and Leadership Development over a six-state region that included 300+ missionary staff in the US and abroad. She currently resides in her husband Regan’s hometown of Rock Port, Missouri, and stays busy with their three girls, helping lead Jays for Jesus, and trying unsuccessfully to garden in all the chaos that life brings. Her burden is for the restoration of the local church, the flourishing of her community, and the gospel of Jesus Christ going to all the nations. She’s excited to challenge women to tap into the strength available to them in both the mundane and unexpected challenges of life.
Macy Williams will be the worship leader. A singer/songwriter and photographer who lives in Maryville, Missouri, she enjoys being outside, especially with those she loves and of course with her beloved dog. She is anxiously waiting to see the face of her Savior and attempts to serve Him until that day comes. She has a big family that includes seven nephews and one niece. She is incredibly blessed with her church family at Laura Street Baptist Church as well as a young adult ladies’ Bible Study. Lastly, she is very thankful for this opportunity to worship with other believers!
To RSVP, leave a message at 660-744-2366 (church) or 660-744-2438 (Bing Boettner) on or before October 13. Seating is limited so reserve your seat as soon as possible!
