Rock Port High School is celebrating Fall Homecoming this week. King and queen candidates are Payten Shrader, Avery Meyerkorth, Addison Maifeld, Corbyn Jakub, Malachi Skillen, and Ryan Lucas.
The Homecoming theme is “Olympics.” Dress-up days are: Tuesday – Terrible Tuesday (mismatched), Wednesday – Water Wednesday (beach), Thursday – Throwback, and Friday – Blue and White Day.
There will also be a spirit competition for the week and each class has a designated theme for sheets that will be hung up at the stadium and floats for the parade: seniors – swimming, juniors – wrestling, sophomores – basketball, freshmen – track, 8th grade – fencing, 7th grade – volleyball, 6th grade- break dancing.
A bonfire will be held Thursday evening at 8:15 p.m. (site to be determined).
The Homecoming Parade will be Friday, September 20, at 3:00 p.m. on Main Street.
The Blue Jays will host the DeKalb Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The king and queen will be crowned following the football game.
