Old Business
Residents who received letters about low hanging tree branches have done a great job of getting them taken care of. For those who have not yet trimmed their branches, the council is ok with a later time frame if there is communication with city hall.
New Business
The city council received a letter concerning the upkeep of properties in some neighborhoods. The city council has sent letters to those properties and if there is further concern residents can come to a city council meeting to resolve.
Staff Reports
Terry Miller, City Treasurer, submitted that all accounts were in balance.
John Brown, Water Superintendent, reported that the LG Sonic industrial line has been installed and is working and a riser has been ordered for the manhole on Sly Street.
Christy Stevens, City Clerk, reported that the street lights account needed to have money transferred into it. The aldermen voted to transfer $5,000 from the general account to the street lights account.
The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m. The next meeting is October 23 at 6:00 p.m.
