On a twist, the East Atchison Wolves hosted Platte Valley Thursday night, September 26, at David Palmeiro Stadium in Tarkio.

The game got off to a fast start with Platte Valley receiving the ball first and scoring on their opening drive. East Atchison was quick to answer back on a 36 yard pass from Blake Simmons to Owen DeRosier for six points, Simmons’ two point conversion was good timing the game at 8 all.

Platte Valley would score three more times before Owen DeRosier would have a big return to the 25 yard line of Platte Valley, setting up the Wolves. Simmons would go to the air again and find tight end Cameron Kephart for EA’s second touchdown on the night. The two point conversion was no good, making the score 14-28. East Atchison would struggle to find the end zone as Platte Valley put three more touchdowns on the board before halftime, making the score 14-50 Platte Valley.

Following halftime the Wolves would get some big returns by River Dow, Owen DeRosier and Gavin Irvine to give them great field position. This set the Wolves up for two more touchdowns from Simmons to Kephart. Platte Valley would put one more score on the board to bring the final score to 56-26 over East Atchison. The Wolves travel to Stewartsville Friday night to take on the WildCards.
