On Thursday afternoon, October 3, 2024, a Tarkio R-I school bus was involved in an accident with a semi when traveling north out of town on Highway 59. The bus had damage to its driver’s side mirror and driver window. Two students were injured in the accident and released to parents.

Due to an ongoing investigation into the incident, no other in-formation is available at this time.
