The Missouri Corn Merchandising Council announced its new leadership team, which took effect October 1. Ryan Meyerkorth, Rock Port, is treasurer.
With the start of a new fiscal year, the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council (MCMC) and the Missouri Corn Growers Association (MCGA) announced a new slate of officers, the appointment of recently elected board members, and national committee assignments.
The election of the 2024-25 MCMC officer team took place during an August board meeting held in Branson. The following MCMC leaders assumed their new roles October 1: Brian Lehman, Versailles, chairman; Dylan Rosier, Mound City, vice chairman; Brandon Thiel, Marshall, secretary; and Ryan Meyerkorth, Rock Port, treasurer.
Also elected in August, the 2024-25 MCGA officers are: Matt Lambert, Laclede, president; Patrick Seyer, Oran, vice-president; and Adam Casner, Carrollton, secretary/treasurer.
New MCMC board members Addie Yoder of Leonard and Will Hunter of Sikeston were recently elected by growers in District 3 and District 7 and assumed their new roles October 1. They will be nominated as candidates for the MCGA board at the organization’s annual meeting in January. Yoder replaces Brent Hoerr of Palmyra, while Hunter proceeds Clint Stephens of Advance.
MCMC is a longstanding partner with the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) to enhance the value of corn, ethanol, and distillers grains through strong international exports. Serving on 2024-25 USGC advisory teams are Ryan Meyerkorth, Value-Added; Adam Casner, Ethanol; Brian Willott of Mexico, Asia; Brian Lehman, Middle East/Africa/South Asia; Dylan Rosier, Western Hemisphere; Matt Lambert, Trade Policy; and Brice Fischer of Rich Hill, Innovation and Sustainability. Jay Fischer of Jefferson City also serves as corn sector director on the USGC board of directors.
Several Missouri Corn leaders also volunteer their time on National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) action teams and committees. The 2025 NCGA action team appointments include Brian Willott, Risk Management; Brandon Thiel, Biofuels; Jim Boerding of St. Charles, Research and New Uses; Matt Lambert, Trade/Transporation/Animal and PAC; Patrick Seyer, Production and Sustainability; and Brian Lehman, Communication and Education and Resolutions. Missouri grower and past MCGA President Jay Schutte also sits on the National Corn board of directors.
The MCMC board of directors is comprised of 14 corn growers elected from across the state. This volunteer board was formed in 1984 with the passage of a corn checkoff and is dedicated to market development, research, and education. MCGA is a grassroots organization committed to increasing the profitability of corn production through sound policies, continued market development, and strong involvement in the political process.
