The 2024 East Atchison junior high basketball season will start at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 24, at Tarkio against Platte Valley. The boys’ and girls’ A games will be played at the TAC and the boys’ and girls’ B games will be played at THS. All teams will play full games.

Rock Port is hosting the District Volleyball Tournament this week at the school. On Tuesday, Rock Port will play South Holt at 5:30 p.m. and East Atchison will play Union Star/King City at 6:45 p.m. The winners of those contests will advance to volleyball action on Thursday at the same times. The championship game is Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Go cheer on our local athletes!

East Atchison will hold Senior Parents’ Night recognition for football, cross country, girls’ golf, cheerleading, and band members after the football game Friday, October 25, in Fairfax.

This last week many of the residents in the Tarkio Fire District received a letter for their annual fund drive and in that correspondence was a return envelope that was addressed to the Fairfax Fire Department.
