The Rock Port Volunteer Fire Department went to Rock Port Elementary School to talk to the kids about the importance of fire safety on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Following a short assembly in the cafeteria the students were taken outside to see three of the fire trucks. The third graders through sixth graders were shown and given the chance to work with a fire extinguisher.

Kory Paris talked about the emergency truck that rolls to most every fire or wreck. Kory was able to show the students some of the equipment that is on the truck.

Students from preschool through third grade got to go on a fire truck ride with Chief Scott Jones.
