The Lutheran Church Women (LCW) of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Westboro, Missouri, made over 70 quilts in the last six weeks. With the recent devastating floods of our neighbors to the southeast and a call for warm bedding, the group contacted the Orphan Grain Train. LCW member Carol Sundermann took the 59 adult quilts and 12 children’s quilts to Iowa so they could join the other donations on their way to victims of Hurricane Helene. Each quilt had a little heart and short prayer tucked in the fold with the hope it would encourage the recipient. (Submitted photo)
