Kimberly Kent Barr, the son of Merle D. and Helen M. (Uhing) Barr, was born July 3, 1960, in St. Charles, Missouri. He attended Fairfax High School, Fairfax, Missouri, graduating in 1978.

Kim was employed by Hy-Vee, where he served as a manager for numerous locations. Later, he attended DeVry University, Lisle, Illinois, where he received his master’s degree in accounting. Kim was then employed for Dansko, Overland Park, Kansas, as an Accountant.

Kim enjoyed collecting and building model trains. He was an avid Nebraska Huskers fan but enjoyed watching all sports. Kim passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, Missouri, at the age of 64.

Kim was preceded in death by his father, Merle Barr. Survivors include mother, Helen Barr, Mound City, Missouri; siblings, Larry Barr, Dayton, Ohio, Robin (Jim) Whittington, Fairfax, and Carla (Gary) Riley, Tarkio, Missouri; six nieces; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.

All memorial services are pending. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, for final expenses. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
