The East Atchison and Rock Port high school cross country teams travelled to Platte City, Missouri, to compete in the MSHSAA Class 1 District 4 Cross Country Meet Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Platte Ridge Park.
The top three teams and the top 30 individuals qualify to advance to the state meet Friday, November 8, at Columbia, Missouri. The East Atchison girls’ team won first place, qualifying for the state competition. EA boys qualifying for state are Cole Anderson, Quin Staten, and Clayton Vernon. Rock Port’s Norah Watkins, Evelyn Heintz, and Malachi Skillen medalled and also qualified for state competition.
