The East Atchison Lady Wolves will begin their high school basketball season at the Mid-Buchanan Jamboree Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The East Atchison Lady Wolves wrestling team will begin their high school season at the Lathrop Scramble Tuesday, November 26, at 5:30 p.m. The Rock Port Blue Jays boys’ and girls’ teams will begin their high school basketball season at home at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, with St. Joseph Christian.

Community Hospital-Fairfax will celebrate their 75th anniversary Friday, November 22, between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Take a tour of the hospital, enjoy some snacks, and celebrate the past and present of CH-F.

Head to Tarkio High School this weekend as the THS Musical Theatre Department presents “Newsies: The Broadway Musical” at 7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

If you need a little help with your holiday baking, there are two bake sales Tuesday, November 26. The Community Hospital-Fairfax Auxiliary bake sale is from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the hospital conference room, and the First Christian Church Women on a Mission bake sale is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in front of Oswald Crow Agency in Rock Port.

Sisters of Strength is hosting a Community Thanksgiving Potluck at 12:00 noon Sunday, November 24, at the city park shelter house in Rock Port, Missouri. (Note: The date for this event has been changed.) If weather is not ideal, the meal will be held in the Atchison County Memorial Building in Rock Port.
