The Atchison County Library’s first Speaker Series event was such a success! Over 30 people turned out to the Tarkio Library to listen to author and historian Jeff Barnes present an interesting program about the experiences of the many who braved and traveled along the Oregon Trail. It was fascinating to learn about life for those who headed out west across the United States and the perils they faced. The Atchison County Library has three of his books so come check them out! The library’s next Speaker Series Event will be Tuesday, December 3, with author Gail Shaffer Blankenau, so mark your calendar!
