Atchison County Head Start students are getting ready for Thanksgiving. The young chefs shared their recipes for “How to Cook a Turkey.”

“Grandma goes to the store in Rock Port to get a turkey. She cooks the turkey in the oven for 4 minutes. Then we eat the turkey and some cake.” – Stevie (3 years old)

“Get a turkey from Wal-Mart. Dad brings the turkey home. Dad cooks the turkey in the oven for one second. Then you eat it.” – Braxtyn I. (4 years old)

“You get a turkey from the farm. Go back home. Mommy cooks the turkey in the oven for a long time. You eat it when it’s done.” – Amelia (3 years old)

“Go to Wal-Mart and get a turkey. Take the turkey home after paying for it. You cook the turkey in the oven for 20 minutes. Then you go to bed.” – Kylie (4 years old)
