University of Missouri Extension will offer free tax workshops in December to help farmers, ranchers and landowners to work better with their tax professional.
During the sessions, MU Extension specialists will cover recent changes in tax laws, including the Corporate Transparency Act, said MU Extension agricultural business specialist Denice Ferguson. Other topics include retirement and Social Security planning, Section 179 and depreciation, conservation tax issues, sales and exchanges, and tax codes that sunset in the new tax year.
A team of instructors will present the workshop virtually to multiple locations. Participants may also attend remotely. There are two opportunities to participate:
• Tuesday, December 3, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Bolivar, Higginsville, Lincoln, Moberly, Ozark and Potosi and online.
• Wednesday, December 4, 1:30-3:30 p.m. in Ava, Cole Camp, Jefferson City, Marshall, Pineville, Poplar Bluff, St. Joseph and Union and online.
