As a 501(c)3 non-profit, Tarkio College d/b/a Tarkio Technology Institute is now approved to receive Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) through their Fidelity accounts. This form of donation allows the donor to transfer stocks directly to the school’s depository trust company (Fidelity) without having to sell the stocks and report the sale as income. This provides the donor with significant benefits on their tax returns, also. A QCD can also meet the requirements for a required minimum distribution if you are 70 ½ or older.
