The Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department will have a fish and chicken fry (carp, catfish, and chicken) Saturday, January 25, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Fairfax Community Room in the fire station. Free-will donations will be accepted.

Pleasant View is hosting a benefit dinner and silent auction Saturday, January 25, for the family of Lacey Pridell, Pleasant View’s Director of Nursing. Her husband, Tim, recently passed away after a battle with cancer. Spaghetti, garlic sticks, salad, pies, and beverages will be served from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Atchison Couounty Memorial Building in Rock Port. A free will donation will be accepted.

The Tarkio Technology welders are hosting a welding showcase Monday, January 27, 2025. You will be able to view some of the work made by the students and teachers and some items will be for sale. Stop by the Curnutt Center at Tarkio Tech that day and check it out from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Community Hospital-Fairfax Auxiliary will hold their annual soup and chili supper Monday, January 27. Serving will be from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fairfax School cafeteria. The East Atchison Wolves will play Hamburg that evening.
