Tarkio Rotarian Julie Koop, owner of Hope N Reigns in Tarkio, gave an update on a new program that will be presented to the community regarding suicide prevention. The video “My Ascension” will be shown to the public at 6:00 p.m. on February 25 in the Rotary Theater in the Curnutt Center on the Tarkio Tech campus. It will also be shown in small groups in the county schools. In the United States, a suicide occurs every 11 minutes. It is hoped that by showing this video, adults and teens alike will be more aware. She noted that 988  is a national suicide hotline. (Submitted by Anita Sutter)
