Congratulations to Rock Port High School’s Ryder Herron, who won the Class 1 Missouri State High School Activities Association’s Heavyweight Championship, the first Rock Port wrestler to do so. Also, well done to all the other Rock Port and East Atchison wrestlers  who competed at state.

Congratulations to the Rock Port High School Blue Jays and Lady Blue Jays Basketball Teams for winning the Class 1, District 16 Championships. The boys won their first game of Sectional action Monday night and will play at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, in Rock Port. The girls’ first game was Tuesday, March 4. Good luck!

The Atchison County Fair Board’s all-you-can-eat fish and chicken fry will be held Sunday, March 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Velma Houts Fair Building in Rock Port. . There will also be a variety of silent auction items to bid on. To-go orders will be available as well as the normal eat in option. Prices are $12 for adults, $6 for ages 5-12, and kids 4 and under can eat for free.
