
Pam McKim, 61, formerly of Rock Port, Missouri, Iowa City, Iowa, and Montezuma, Iowa, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2025, at the UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Burial was held in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. Pam’s services were recorded and will be on the Holland-Coble Funeral Home YouTube page following the service. In lieu of flowers, with Pam’s love of animals and her cat, Smokey, memorial contributions may be made to PALS (Poweshiek Animal League Services). Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma was in charge of arrangements.
Pamela Sue McKim, the daughter of Donald and Mary Margaret (Elliott) Mobley, was born on October 10, 1963, in Jefferson City, Missouri. She graduated from Rock Port High School in 1982. Following high school, Pam moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where she took modeling classes. She worked as a model for J.C. Penney along with Younkers for a few years. Pam was a very loving daughter and sister and was loved by her family. She was a very social person and enjoyed visiting with people. Pam was very athletic, a great swimmer, a great basketball player, and had many other talents including playing the piano. She enjoyed fishing and frog gigging with her siblings for many summers. She also had a special place in her heart for animals and loved the bird dogs they raised along with her cat, Smokey, which she had for several years. Pam also had wonderful neighborhood relationships with all of the children on her street, such rich fellowship, riding bikes, playing backyard games, playing basketball and sledding in the winters. She was a member of the Lucky Clover 4-H Club, receiving many awards. She was also an avid sports fan and really enjoyed cheering on the Missouri Tigers with her family. Pam will be truly missed my many especially her mother, Mary Margaret.
She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Margaret Mobley of Grinnell, Iowa; her sister, Julie (Jim) Oswald of St. Joseph, Missouri; a niece, Jill (Cameron) McComb, great-nephew, Tatum McComb, and great-niece, Palmer McComb, all of Whitestown, Indiana; a niece, Jenna Oswald (fiancé, Matthew Salamon) of Parkville, Missouri; a nephew, Joshua Oswald of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, along with countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Donald Mobley; her brother, Neil Mobley; her maternal grandparents, Melvin and Margaret Elliott; and paternal grandparents, James Elvis and Bethel Mobley.
