Spring sports are underway for athletes at the three Atchison County schools. The first few events may be a bit blustery, but if able, please attend to cheer on our hardworking students!

Last week’s ACDC Luncheon in Fairfax was postponed due to incoming weather. The event will now be held this Wednesday, March 26, at 12:00 noon in the Community Room at the Fairfax Fire Station.

Rock Port R-II School will hold its 2024-2025 winter sports banquet Friday, March 28, at 6:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

A fish fry benefit for Kathy Esser will be held Saturday, March 29, at the Watson Community Building. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., a delicious meal will be served and then an auction will follow. Free will donations will be accepted.

Rock Port High School Prom is this Saturday, March 29. The community is invited to take pics of the dressed up juniors and seniors and their dates at a promenade that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Atchison County Memorial Building in Rock Port.

The Fairfax High School Band inviteS the community to a special performance Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the FHS gym. The musicians will be playing the music they will perform in Branson, Missouri, this spring. Refreshments will be served following the program.

School will not be in session Monday, March 31, at Rock Port R-II Schools. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 12:30 to 7:00 p.m.
