A two-vehicle wreck occurred on I-29 northbound at the 105 mile-marker in Atchison County, Missouri, at 9:52 p.m. April 3, 2025. The crash took place as a 2018 Toyota Camry, driven by a 49-year-old man from Omaha, Nebraska, was traveling northbound and crossed the center of the roadway. The right side of the Camry impacted the left side of a northbound 2024 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by a 56-year-old male from Lincoln, Nebraska. The Camry travelled off of the right side of the roadway and overturned, coming to rest off of the east side of the interstate, facing west. The Freightliner was driven to a controlled stop.
The driver of the Toyota Camry, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, Missouri. The Freightliner driver did not report any injuries at the scene. The Camry sustained extensive damage and was towed by Double M Towing of Rock Port. The Freightliner sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The accident was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper R. A. Matthews.
