Terry Joe Kemerling, age 66, formerly of Fairfax, Missouri, died March 28, 2025, at the St. Joseph Chateau in St. Joseph, Missouri, where he was a resident.

T.J. was born October 19, 1958, in Fairfax, the son of the late Donald Keith and Helene Wynn (Schwartz) Kemerling.

He was a graduate of Fairfax High School, class of 1977.

T.J. had formerly worked at the Emge meat packing plant in Fort Branch, Indiana, the Ford Motor Company in Mound City, Missouri, and the Excel meat packing plant in Rock Port, Missouri. He had also worked as a farm hand in the Fairfax area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Kemerling and Helene Lawrence; and his stepmother, Mary Jo Kemerling.

Survivors include daughter, Morgan (Clay) Linebach, St. Joseph; stepfather, Kent Lawrence, Fairfax; brother, Rick (Dona) Kemerling, Fairfax; sister, Kelly (Scott) Parshall, Skidmore, Missouri; grandchildren, Vivien, Crew, and Koe; nephew, Kody; and a niece, Jenea’.

Terry’s body has been cremated under the care of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax/Craig. A memorial graveside service and inurnment was held Monday, April 7, 2025, at the IOOF (Odd Fellows) Cemetery, Craig, Missouri, officiated by Rev. Rick Sons.
