The Armstrong trio of Beau Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, and Anita Armstrong, opened the evening with an a cappella hymn.
Visitors enjoyed looking through the church’s scrapbooks.
The musical program was enjoyed by all present.
The Watson Baptist Church celebrated 125 years on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The celebration started with a potluck dinner held in their community room. Following the food and fellowship, everyone moved into the sanctuary to hear the word of God and enjoy some music.
Over 50 were in attendance as Pastor Terry Weibel welcomed everyone and gave a brief history about the building of the church.
Following Pastor Weible, several groups entertained the crowd with songs of praise. First up was the Armstrong trio of Beau, Michael, and Anita. Andy Oestmann was next with a couple of songs accompanied by Scott Holmes. The West Street Wranglers, consisting of Andy Monroe, Bill Inkret, Paul Stultz, Scott Holmes, and Lexis Bruns-Morris, played bluegrass/folk gospel songs, and Malisa Linthicum joined in and sang three songs. A good time was had by all.
