On Thursday, April 3, 2025, Tarkio Cub Scout Pack 88 held the annual Blue & Gold Banquet at Tarkio First Baptist Church. Over 70 scouts, family members and guests gathered to celebrate the past year of scouting and recognize scouts who attained their den badges through completion of their respective den activities.
Scout Jeremiah Lester attained the Arrow of Light, which is the highest rank a Cub Scout can attain. He will now continue his scouting adventures as a Boy Scout and will participate in troop activities. Troop 88 Scoutmaster Tim Vette was present to welcome the Arrow of Light recipients into the local troop.
In addition to award presentations and recognition of volunteers, remarks were provided by Cubmaster Ethan Piveral. Eagle Scout Matthew Lester also spoke to Scouts as the evening’s guest speaker. Matthew shared reflections on his time in scouting and how he continues to strive to continue to follow the Boy Scout motto “Be Prepared.”
