Alex Erickson drove in five runs on four hits to lead East Atchison varsity Wolves to an 18-0 shut out of North Nodaway Thursday, April 17, 2025. Erickson tripled in the first scoring two, doubled in the second scoring two, doubled in the second scoring one, and singled in the third scoring one. The Wolves scored 13 runs in the second inning alone, thanks to a single by Brody Wennihan, scoring one run, two doubles by Erickson, scoring three, a single by Owen DeRosier, scoring two, a triple and a single by Luke Morey, scoring three, a single by Axyl Slemp, scoring one, a single by River Dow, scoring one, and two errors scoring one run each. Besides the hits and runs, it was a night for stolen bases as well. The Wolves took eight in the victory. The Wolves also didn’t commit a single error and DeRosier made the most plays with seven. Slemp earned the win from the mound. He gave up two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking one. Tate Johnson collected the save.
