A loud “Woo-hoo!” cried out through the Thompson Learning Center at Tarkio Tech on Friday, April 25. Within seconds, footsteps echoed from every direction as staff and instructors rushed to the source of the cheer. A student stepped out of a classroom, grinning ear to ear, followed by their instructor, also with a huge grin.

“Did you pass?” “How’d you do?” came the questions from now in a circle in the hallway around the student. The answer? “Yes, I passed!” After tackling a rigorous, challenging exam, the student had officially earned a nationally recognized Professional Certification in their field of study.

High-fives flew, congratulations rang out, and smiles filled the hallway as more faculty and staff left their classrooms and offices to join in the spontaneous celebration.

Why share this moment? Because it’s a powerful glimpse into the culture at Tarkio Technology Institute. Moments like these aren’t unusual, they’re a part of the investment everyone on campus has for the students that enter Tarkio Tech’s door. The staff takes genuine pride in every student’s success, often dropping everything to celebrate milestones big and small. These victories may not always make headlines, but they speak volumes about the dedication, heart, and community spirit that defines the leadership, staff and family oriented environment of Tarkio Technology Institute.

Dear Editor,

I am writing to give a big shout out to some ladies that run a project in your community called Boundless Grace. Cassie Shaw, Jami DeRosier, and Mandy Whipple (I believe I have these names correct) came to the rescue of a young lady that is not from the area who was in need of a prom dress with no time to spare. Upon contacting them, they graciously had four prom dresses ready for her. She was able to pick a beautiful dress and attend her prom. Without the ladies of Boundless Grace, this would have never happened. This non-profit organization helped her in her time of need and we are forever grateful.

Sincerely, Pamela Weber
