Two family members of each sixth grade band member came up and stood behind them as they played a tune during the concert. Director Nathaniel Wehmeyer wanted to recognize the relatives who support the students’ musical endeavors.

 

The junior high choir sang “I Love Rock N Roll,” a compilation of rock n roll songs.

 

The junior high band played “Engines of Resistance,” “Salvation is Created,” “Jamaica Jack,” and “Pride on Parade.”

 

The high school choir sang “Turtle Dove,” “Jubilate Deo,” and “Hallelujah.” The girls in the choir sang “Dark Brown is the River.”

 

The high school band played “Flight of the Thunderbird,” “Lean on Me,” “Orion,” and “Magnificent Seven.”

The Tarkio 6th-12th grade band and choir students performed their spring music concert for family and friends Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Following the event, awards were handed out to the high schoolers for accomplishments achieved this past year and in their high school careers, the seniors signed the band director’s podium, and the students who qualified for State Music Contest performed their numbers. The students were under the direction of Nathaniel Wehmeyer and Melody Barnett.

The 6th grade band got the party started with the songs “Old MacDonald,” “Morning Song,” “Mexican Clapping Song,” and “Hard Rock Blues.” Band members include: flutes – Mame Dow, Jerald Goodin, and Lyla Walker; clarinets – Katie Smith, Tucker Wheeler, Aliyah Wilke, and Kenisyn Yost; saxophones – Carter Corbin, Winston Hogue, and Kora Milla; trumpets – Adilynn Bates, Michael England, Ella Haler, Jackobi Robertson, and Bryar Wennihan; trombones – Teanna Adams, Raiden Baruth, Owen Bruce, Alexis Caudill, Landry Hurst, and Titus Wright; and percussion – Eli Lundy, Cayson Martin, Jasper Navin, and JJ Rolf.

Quin Staten was also recognized for participating in the National FFA Choir.
