The Fairfax Music Department will hold its K-12 Spring concert Wednesday, May 7. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be a meal in the school cafeteria from 4:45 to 6:00 p.m. The meal will be hamburgers and hot dogs, baked beans, salads, chips and desserts. A free will donation will be accepted.

Baccalaureate for the Tarkio High School Class of 2025 will be held Wednesday, May 7, at the Tarkio First Baptist Church. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. to the seniors and their parents and grandparents, as well as senior class sponsors and school administrators. The service will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Tarkio High School senior awards assembly will be held this Thursday, May 8, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the THS Gym. The public is invited to attend.

The Rock Port R-II School Music Department will hold its spring band (6-12) and choir (8-12) concert Thursday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Rock Port High School. The Rock Port Music Boosters will have an ice cream sundae/float bar following the concert.

Beginning this Friday, the Fairfax Library will have books available for sale for a free-will donation from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This will be held every Friday in conjunction with the Farmers Market.

A commencement ceremony for the Tarkio High School Class of 2025 will be held Sunday, May 11, at 2:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Tarkio Technology Institute is hosting a clean-up week May 12-16. Volunteers are needed to work inside and outside the buildings. There will be some tools available for garden and outside work, but feel free to bring your own. Everyone is asked to meet at The Curnutt Center at 9:00 a.m. each day. Lunch will be provided. If you are a Tarkio College alumnus, you are invited to join TCAA board members for workdays at the museum in Rankin Hall May 15-17. Lunch will be provided on the 16th and 17th (email tcaa@tarkio.net to let them know if you are coming those days). TCAA is trying to get the museum ready for Tarkiesta later in the month.
