Rock Port’s Ella Meyerkorth and East Atchison’s Lizzie Schlueter battled it out in the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles. Ella won and Lizzie took second in both events. Ella broke her own school record with a time of 15.17 in the 100 meter hurdles.
Rock Port’s 4×800 meter relay team took first with a time of 10:20.30, helping the Rock Port team take home first at Sectionals as well. Avery Meyerkorth, Braylyn Wood, Norah Watkins and Jacoby Driskell ran the legs for Rock Port.
Rock Port’s Avery Meyerkorth and Braylyn Wood dominated the open 800 meter run at Sectionals taking first and second.
Rock Port junior Ella Meyerkorth took first in the high jump at Sectionals, clearing 1.53 meters. She won four events during the meet.
Rock Port’s Ryder Herron won the discus with a throw of 44.83 meters to advance on to State on Saturday, May 24.
Norah Watkins won the 1600 meter run at Sectionals, finishing with a time of 5:37.88. The Rock Port junior also advanced to State in the 3200 meter run in third with a time of 12:47.16.
Rock Port senior Corbyn Jakub won Sectionals in the javelin, breaking his own school record yet again with a throw of 45.72 meters.
Ella Meyerkorth won the javelin with a toss of 36.38 meters to advance to State.
Rock Port’s Ryder Herron won the shot put with a toss of 14.51 meters, helping Rock Port win Sectionals.
Rock Port’s 4×400 meter relay advanced to State. Avery Meyerkorth, Braylyn Wood, Norah Watkins and Audrie Meyerkorth ran a time of 4:18.73 to place fourth.
Rock Port sophomore Gabe Gebhards advanced to State in the discus, placing third with a throw of 43.31 meters.
Senior Avery Meyerkorth placed third in the long jump and advances to State with a leap of 4.93 meters.
The 4×100 meter relay advanced for Rock Port, earning third place. Camden McEnaney, Corbyn Jakub, Dylan Lair, and Case Millsap had a 44.95 second run.
Rock Port’s Audrie Meyerkorth cleared 1.48 meters on her way to fourth place in the high jump to advance to State.

Landrey Kelly advanced in the pole vault for Rock Port, vaulting 2.43 meters on her way to fourth place.
Rock Port senior Malachi Skillen placed fourth in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:52.42.
Rock Port’s Audrie Meyerkorth ran a 1:01.83 in the 400 meter dash to finish fourth place.
Gabe Gebhards advanced to State in the javelin with a throw of 41.71 meters, earning him fourth place.
East Atchison’s 4×400 meter relay advanced to State in third with a time of 4:15.78. The team consisted of Grace Oswald, Taya Windham, Grace Caudill and Lizzie Schlueter.
EA’s 4×800 meter relay team advanced to State in third place with a time of 8:59.35. Quin Staten, Mason Kingery, Cole Anderson and Clayton Vernon made up the relay.
East Atchison’s 4×800 meter relay placed second with a time of 10:43.28. Grace Oswald, Bailey Wennihan, Grace Caudill and Taya Windham ran the legs for EA.
Gavyn Irvine placed sixth at Sectionals in the pole vault for East Atchison with a height of 3.35 meters. Gavyn advanced to State with a triple jump of 12.54 meters to earn fourth.
Grace Oswald of East Atchison finished in second in the pole vault with a jump of 2.74 meters. Grace set a personal record and tied the EA record.
Mound City High School hosted the MSHSAA Class 1 Sectional 4 Track Meet May 17, 2025, in Mound City, Missouri. Both Rock Port teams won. The girls scored 114 points and the boys scored 73 on their way to victory. The East Atchison girls’ team placed seventh while scoring 38 points and the boys’ took 18th with 18 points. The top four finishers for each event qualified to advance to the state meet on May 23 and 24, 2025.
