Members of the American Legion Auxiliary John Richards Post Unit 284 handed out poppies Memorial Day weekend. The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. Pictured are Marilyn Reed, Ann Wensel, Kendal Straub, and Marcia Martin.

Linda Payton and Donna Payne with the Allen-Schiffern American Legion Auxiliary Unit 199 handed out poppies to those shopping at Casey’s in Tarkio on Memorial Day weekend. Connor Cason of Westboro, who is deploying soon, is pictured making a donation for a poppy.
