Nucor sponsored a golf tournament May 16, 2025, at Mozingo and chose North Star Advocacy Center as the charity recipient of the proceeds. A total of 35 teams competed in the event. North Star provides free, confidential services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the counties of Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth.  Pictured are the 140 golfers who participated in the event with North Star staff members Linda Mattson, Sherry Brown, Cindy Lemar, Meghann Kosman, Kasey DuChien, and Wyatt Williams.
