KMA recently announced the 2025 All-KMAland Boys Track & Field Team. Eligible individuals for this team include those from the Bluegrass, Corner, Hawkeye Ten, Pride of Iowa, Rolling Valley and Western Iowa Conferences plus all Council Bluffs schools and all KMAland Nebraska and KMAland Missouri schools.

No individual was selected for more than one event. This created some challenges with putting the team together, but also allots for as many deserving KMAland athletes as possible to claim this honor. This year’s team has three repeat members, 12 seniors, four juniors and two sophomores.

Rock Port’s Corbyn Jakub was named to the team for his accomplishments in the javelin throw. The senior standout and 2024 KMAland Missouri Football Player of the Year showed off his quarterbacking/strong throwing arm skills by earning a third place medal in the Missouri Class 1 Championships with a throw of 47.64 meters.

Other honorees included: 100 meter dash – Kyle Emerson, senior, Albany; 200 meter dash – Cauy Konz, junior, Treynor; 400 meter dash – Luke Sternberg, senior, AHSTW; 800 meter run – Nolan Gartner, junior, Syracuse; 1600 meter run – Parker Heisterkamp, senior, St. Albert; 3200 meter run – Kyle Wagoner, senior, Clarinda; 110 meter hurdles – Brady Wallace (repeat selection), senior, Treynor; 300 meter hurdles – August Meadows (repeat selection), senior, Mound City; 400 meter hurdles – Gabe Funk (repeat selection), senior, Lenox; high jump – Trevon Keely (repeat selection), sophomore, Paton-Churdan; long jump – Brogan Ewing, senior, Southeast Warren; triple jump – Montae Henry, junior, Conestoga; discus – Ambrose Savage, senior, Lamoni; shot put – Trent Warner, senior, Nodaway Valley; pole vault – Ernest Peters, junior, Mound City; track at-large – Will Anderson, senior, Logan-Magnolia; field at-large – Landon Blum, sophomore, Woodbine
