The Rock Port Music Department held its spring concert Thursday, May 8, 2025. Mrs. Abby Palmer is the director and Richard Boettner was accompanist.

The sixth grade intermediate band performed “Sailers Song,” which was followed by some pep band stand cheers. Members of the sixth grade intermediate band include: Emma Hale, Caisyn Hall, and Joci Culp, flutes; Nella Steuter and Taylor Cook, clarinets; Mason Hale, alto saxophone; Isaac Dougherty and Locke Chaney, trumpets; Lane Seeley and Jack Bailey, trombones; Elaina Kroeger, baritone; and Anthony Masonbrink, Alex Gibson, Kipton Waigand, Deveni Barth, Kaden Perry, and Colton Zach, percussion.

The seventh grade band performed “Military March,” followed by a junior high jig.

The high school band performed “Stay” and “Infinite Possibilities.”

The high school concert choir sang “Star Spangled  Banner,” “Cangoma (a traditional Brazilian folk song),” “What Was I Made For (from Barbie),” “Time,” and “Bonse Aba” (a traditional Zambian folk song). Members of the high school chorus are: Arianna Shimmel, Hadleigh Jones, Lexi Stanton, Audrey Dougherty, and Kennedi Seiter, sopranos; Makaila Pruett, Claire Miller, Mya Welch, Isa Kroeger, Kinleigh Daugherty, Stella VanGundy, and Eliza Mason, altos; and Lily Wilroy, baritone.

The combined sixth and seventh grade bands played “Wrath of the Mechanical Monsters” and “Aliens Landing (In Your BackYard).”

The combined seventh through 12th grade bands performed “Aliens Among Us (They’re Here)” and a fall show sneak peak, “How to Train Your Dragon – Parts I and II.” Members of the seventh to 12th grade combined junior high/high school band include: Lilly Pankau and Mya Welch, flutes; Audrey Dougherty and Maddie Wilroy, clarinets; Leo Grimes, bass clarinet; Cooper Daugherty, alto saxophone; Jaymes Herron, tenor saxophone; Ryan Lucas, Brandon Athen, Isa Kroeger, and Archer Meyerkorth, trumpets; Alex Schuster, trombone; Wyatt Huntley and Jadyn Jakub, baritone; Levi Lucas, tuba;  Arianna Shimmel, Anden Cohn, Eliza Mason, Amelia Mason, Kennedi Seiter, Stella VanGundy, Zeke Gebhards, Briar Daugherty, Jolie Steuter, Jaxson Hale, Ryan Sharpless, and Maya Clodfelter, percussion; and Sophie Storm and Claire Miller, mallets.

The combined sixth through 12th grade bands performed “Too Much Percussion!”
