The Rock Port R-II Board of Education held a regular board meeting Monday, June 9, 2025. President Regan Griffin called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Other board members present were Afton Schomburg, Joanna Burke, Jared Meyerkorth, Theresa Crawford, Troy Cook, and Reven Herron. Also present were Dr. Bollinger, superintendent; Jennifer Welch, board secretary; and Lance Lansdown, maintenance director.
The agenda was adopted.
President Regan Griffin read the vision and mission statement.
Board members voted to approve the minutes from May 15, 2025.
Dr. Bollinger reviewed the financial information. The May final check register was approved.
Dr. Bollinger read a thank you from Kymm Bredensteiner and a thank you from Shauna Farmer.
Lance Lansdown gave an update.
Dr. Bollinger went over his monthly program report. This month’s report was over Food Service.
The consent agenda was approved. It included approval of the 2024-2025 bus routes, the visual impairment services contract, the banking services bid, and the MSBA policy update from May 29,2025
New Business
Board members took action to amend the 2024 – 2025 budget to reflect actual expenditures and revenue as of June 30, 2025.
Board members also set the 2025-2026 board meeting dates with the change of the July 10 meeting to 6:00 p.m. and the August 14 meeting to 6:00 p.m.
Additional technology purchase expenditures in the amount of $12,116.60 were approved.
Discussion was held about the guttering and soffit replacement in the elementary building.
The board voted to move to executive session at 6:54 p.m. in accordance with (3, 13) Personnel Matters. The meeting returned to open session at 7:08 p.m.
Troy Cook made the motion and Jared Meyerkorth seconded to approve the HR form as presented. It included approval of non-certified staff, certified staff, and extra duty contracts. The motion passed 6-0. Reven Herron abstained.
Board members voted unanimously to increase the yearbook extra duty stipend from 5% to 7%.
Future business was discussed.
